Dear Friends of The Accelerated Schools:
We are proud to share some exciting news with you!
The entire graduating class—totaling 103 students—of The Accelerated Schools’ Wallis Annenberg High School (WAHS) has been accepted to college for Fall 2013.
Significantly, our 2013 graduates have been accepted into approximately 30 different two-and four-year colleges and universities. And nearly 75 percent will be going to four-year institutions. These include: UCLA, USC, UC Davis, Mount St. Mary’s College, UC Irvine, Pepperdine University, Vassar College, Emory University, Goucher College, Wheaton College—and many more. In addition, the U.S. News & World Report 2013 ranking of the country’s best high schools awarded a gold medal to WAHS! The school also received a rank in the top 100 in the state of California. Please click here to view the full article.
Additionally, one of our graduating seniors earned a Gates Scholarship to attend Wheaton College in the fall of 2013. Moreover, two of our graduates were awarded Posse Scholarships to attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison this fall.
These achievements reflect the outstanding curriculum and dedication of our teachers, families and students who help to ensure each student achieves at the highest level possible.
